Twenty Twelve
Two thousand twelve
2012
This is it. Here we go. Another new year.
The first verse that comes to mind is a verse from Jeremiah:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
Love that verse.
A new year.
A fresh start.
New beginning.
Plans to prosper.
But then tonight as I sit drinking my decaf peppermint mocha, a different verse comes to mind.
twenty twelve
Revelation...
"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.
Another book was opened, which is the book of life.
The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books."
Revelation 20:12
So, my sisters, I have to ask you -
What are you gonna do this year...
in twenty twelve...
what will be written in the book?
Accept Christ?
Accept your neighbor?
Your sister?
Your marriage?
Your weight?
What will the resolution be?
Will you resolve to run more and spend less?
to pray more and nag less?
to dream more and fret less?
to dive in more and dread less?
The BOOK OF LIFE my sisters...what will we write in it this year?
Let it begin with your testimony of knowing my Savior!
It is my prayer today, that each of you, know my Savior...my Lord...my Jesus...and that you might start this day...and every day....with Him!
