Some pictures finally!

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Lucy

Wiping her face...

Tina and I with the kids from the Waterloo Bush area. They knew their ABC's and giggled when I sang the last part of it, "Now I know my ABC's..."

A home

Look LUKE!!!!

Matilda
The amazing woman with HIV/AIDS & Tuberculosis

Two girls walking to school. It is normal for the children to walk 7 miles each way to school and then have to walk 2 miles each way at lunch to get water from a well. They have such strong spirits! Education is key!
Not all of the work is hard! :)

Difficult to make out but this is people washing in the garbage infested river...this is not Kroo Bay...just non-slum life in Freetown!

  2. i keep looking at the picture of the 2 girls walking to school and think of how strong they must be not only physically but within their spirit, the determination, the drive, the willingness and dedication to put one foot in front of the other each day for a 14+ mile journey.. I cant help but think that not only are they growing in knowledge but their growing into these strong, bold, willed women who I pray will be able to share their lives and gifts with the world someday... wow, love love love that pic!!!
